We’re currently looking to recruit a GDMO Surgeon to provide occupational, paliative and curative clinical health interventions to all our staff in Nigeria, with the key focus on employees in Port Harcourt.Responsibilities:As a GDMO Surgeon, you’ll provide general and specialist medical care to SPDC’s staff and dependants. In detail, this will involve: * Emergency general and specialist duty care * Medical evacuation and resuscitation services * A leadership role in the medical team, providing general and specialist input towards the development of procedures and protocols for the optimisation of our services * Providing health education for patients, subordinates and management in developing a healthy workforce * Identifying and maintaining professional skills and knowledge for self-development through internal and external training programmes * Ensuring the suitability, availability and serviceability of all equipment needed to deliver routine and specialist care.Requirements:With an MBBS, BLS/ACLS/PALS/ATLS and an additional fellowship qualification in surgery, you’ll be at an advantage if you have significant experience as a consultant in general surgery and trauma. We’ll expect you to be able to deliver cost-effective and curative general and specialist medical care to staff, dependants, contractors and third parties in line with our policy to sustain a healthy and productive workforce. You’ll also have the skills to provide primary healthcare, general medical care and emergency healthcare including medevac, medrescue, counselling and medical education.Application Deadline: Tuesday, May 20, 2008
