Quality Manager wanted

Quality Manager .The project is the construction of an Airport Hanger which consists of 4,500 tonnes of structural steelwork, cladding and outfitting to a very high standard.
POSITION DESCRIPTIONTitle: Quality ManagerReports To: Construction Manager
SUMMARYProvides overall management and direction of inspection and audit functions of Subcontractor's Quality Plans as they relate to construction activities. Assists staff as necessary in the performance of quality inspections. Develops and maintains Project Quality Plan.
Reviews and approves reporting of activities in Daily Inspector's Reports. Reviews Subcontractor submittals related to quality issues and calls attention to deviations, following up to ensure correction and compliance through the Non-Conformance Reporting process.
JOB DIMENSIONS
1. Supervision Received�� Reports to and receives direction from the Engineering Manager�� Coordinates daily with Site Manager, Construction Manager and Field Engineers
2. Supervision Exercised�� Supervises Lead QA/QC Engineers�� Supervises Sr. Architectural, M&E, and Civil Inspectors as required during absence of Lead QA/QC Engineer or during periods of peak workload.
3. Contacts�� Establishes strong working relationships with Subcontractor's Quality professionals and Site Managers
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manages, observes, documents, and reports on quality issues on a daily basis to Site Manager, Construction Manager and Engineering Manager.2. Meets with Subcontractor representatives daily to maintain a contemporaneous assessment of quality issues.3. Performs daily assessment of potential quality issues.4. Develops, maintains, and ensures compliance with Project Quality Plan.5. Tracks deviations and NCR's through to final disposition.6. Reviews Subcontractors Quality Plans and assist Subcontractors in compliance with plans.
QUALIFICATIONS1. Excellent fluency in written and spoken English2. Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing3. 15+ years field experience in civil and building construction inspection; airport experience desirable- , MECHANICAL ,CIVILS, BUILDING WORKS, ARCHITECTURAL4. Appropriate Quality Certifications5. Preferred Education: Civil or Architectural Engineering Degree6. Highly computer literate, particularly in MS Office programs, to facilitate development and maintenance of Quality metrics.
Salary is £4,800 per month based on 60 hours worked per week.A local allowance of circa £35 per day is paid locally.Accommodation is a western style camp.Flights and local transport is taken care of.Work/leave cycle 4 months/two weeks.Candidates who have preVious experience of working in Nigeria will be given priority consideration.
